MEDRAD has long been a leader in developing innovative medical device products* that improve the quality of healthcare and enable cost-effective patient care. Recent examples include:

Radiology-

The Certegra™ Informatics Platform that automates personalized injection protocol personalization; integrates patient/study information with clinical systems; automates record keeping; and provides flexible access to more complete, accurate data.

The Intego™ PET Infusion System that automates the administration of Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) for Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) procedures and reduces the technologist's exposure to radiation by a minimum 20 pecent.

The Continuum Wireless MR Infusion System that controls a patient’s medication infusion from inside and outside the scan room, enabling a clinician to control parameters without interrupting the MR scan.

Extravasation detector technology that directly senses extravasation pooling of contrast agent under the skin during a CT scanning procedure. (Medical Design Excellence Award® Winner 2008)

Personalized Patient Protocol Technology (P3T®) that makes it possible to further customize a CT injection based on patient-specific parameters.

A Magnetic Resonance (MR) endorectal coil that conforms to the size and shape of the prostate to provide clearer pictures needed to diagnose and stage cancer and plan targeted treatment.

Interventional -

The Avanta™ Fluid Management Injection System is designed to allow controlled flow automated injections to the coronaries. The combination of single patient and multi-patient disposables supports a single set-up for use with multiple patients.

AngioJet® Ultra Thrombectomy System is used to remove thrombus from blocked vessels. Pressurized saline is sent to the tip of a catheter to create a vacuum that draws in thrombus and removes it from the body.

With its unique 0.035" guidewire and CO2 filled occlusion balloon, the GuardDOG® Occlusion System can temporarily occlude blood flow and support over-the-wire interventional devices including catheter-directed lytic therapy.

* All MEDRAD products must be employed and used properly to achieve benefits. See respective Operator's Manuals for details.
