XDS™ Extravasation Detector
for Stellant® CT Injection Systems

The XDS Extravasation Detector is designed to directly detect mild extravasations during CT injection and immediately stop the injection. This safety accessory for the Stellant CT Injection System prevents mild extravasations from becoming moderate extravasations or severe extravasations.

Patented Extravasation Detection Technology

XDS uses patented RF wave technology and a physical property called permittivity to detect pooling fluid under a patient's skin. This technology enables quick and highly accurate detection of extravasated fluid at less than 20mL, but typically between 5mL and 11mL. It also minimizes false positive detections common with the use of technology that relies on skin impedance.
